we're back w/ our sunday leisure... visited the liuyin park this afternoon. it's a very nice park w/ ducks/lotus-filled lake surrounded by weeping willows, reeds & pavilions. the place is a haven for all ages - lovers, old people doin' some exercise, kids playing, even photo shoot of newly weds.

barbeque at home  forget the diet. this is the first time in beijing, we had our barbeque at home. up there. it's not that there's none available anywhere. well, chinese style is always the urumqi style, it's a bit spicy, a delicacy from the chinese-muslim community. the brazilian restaurant is quite near us. ofcourse western style is always available. it's just that this is our 1st homemade barbeque. it was a success thanks to the recipe i found in the internet. |

another busy week at the site. did some snagging so that things wouldn't end up looking funny or stupid. fingers were a bit numb w/ my computer plus some sketching i did. hopefully the lobby will look grand as we want it to be.
check out this picture of a female construction worker. i have never encountered one back home.   |

cean's stitches are gone since last friday so we decided to give him a treat to the blue zoo! it's smaller than singapore's sentosa but w/ an edge cos of 'mermaids' swimming around w/ fishes, sharks & scuba divers. hongkong oceanpark, i think, is better. maybe we'll also check out the aquarium in beijing zoo some other time....

we went to check out some lobby hotel yesterday and went shopping for new summer clothes. nobody guessed we'd end up in a bar...
drank 2 bottles each, listened to angela's jazz and enjoyed much of the evening. we missed the 'snake lady' though... the belly dancer in between sessions. there must be a ban on sexy dancers or she's probably on vacation. |
